Description |
Wooden Ballot Box used by the Quaboag Rebekah Lodge #169. The ballot box was used for the election of officers and electing candidates. White balls (46 marbles) elected and Black balls (10 cubes) rejected. Balls were placed in the back of the box by voting members. The drawer in front was pulled out and the balls counted by the Vice Grand and Noble Grand. Majority won. Small bronze plaque reads - "Presented by The Esther Buffington P.N.G.'s Club 1957" |
