Monson Fire Department's Gamewell Fire Alarm Box Number 55. This box was donated to the Historical Society at the time the Fire Department was disbanding the use of call boxes throughout the town of Monson. Fire Alarm Box is listed in the Monson Fire Department 1887-1987 Chronology of Facts Book compiled by Carolyn Bedard as the box used for Civil Defense - Extreme Emergency, it is not stated where this box stood in town. |
